Starting French gets easier when the goal is clarity, not intensity. A few useful words, a short review session, and one sentence you can actually remember will take you much further than a complicated plan.
The first week should feel small on purpose. Learn a handful of high-frequency words, listen to how they sound, and come back to them the next day. That repeated contact is what builds confidence.
Once you have a little vocabulary, sentence practice matters. It turns isolated words into something usable, and it gives your brain context for meaning, grammar, and rhythm at the same time.
A good routine feels light enough to repeat. If you can finish your session and still want to come back tomorrow, you are doing it right.
